L.E.T.S.


What is L.E.T.S?

Local Exchange and Trading Scheme - is a way of trading goods and services without the need for cash other than materials and travelling expenses.

It is a non profit organisation run by its members, with an elected 'core group' to administer the day to day running of the system.

It is an economy based on friendship and trust, with wonderful social benefits, regular meetings with trading, pub meets, work parties and a great way of sharing talents.

When you become a member you will be given: 

A CES account number and login (see below)

Directory of members

Trading sheets

Monthly newsletter


A good way of meeting members is to attend an event. Contact us using the form below for more information and /or see 'More Information' on the navigation link.

Joining is easy. Click on Login/Join button. There is a one off joining fee of £6 and then an annual fee of £5 payable at the beginning of each December. There is a six monthly admin charge of currently 18 Scrumpys (our local trading currency).   You can join as an individual, a couple,  or as a group, club or organisation.



Yeovil and South Somerset LETS geographic area

LETS groups are located in geographic areas to aid meet ups and events. Ours is operates around the South Somerset area, including, but not limited to Yeovil, Crewkerne, Langport, Somerton, Ilminster and Chard. If you are located beyond this area, it does not preclude your membership.


What is CES ?

CES (Community Exchange Scheme) is based on LETS principles and provides our on-line accounting facility. You can record all your scrumpy transactions here as you buy and sell.click here to read more
